Who we are, what we do, and why it matters
Neighbors who refuse to let neighbors go hungry
Founded in 2012, Harvest Pack is a Minneapolis-born 501(c)(3) humanitarian hunger relief nonprofit with a GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency.
We mobilize meal-packing volunteer events
We bring a turnkey meal-packing assembly line to your business, school, or faith community. Your team packs thousands of healthy meals, donated to nonprofit partners who put them on local tables.
1 in 5 American kids faces food insecurity
About 47 million Americans struggle to get enough to eat, and worldwide that number climbs past 250 million. A day of your time can put complete nutrition within reach.
Healthy Food on Every Table
We envision a world where healthy food is accessible to everyone, regardless of where they were born or how much money they have. Here's what that looks like in numbers.
Where our meals go
Meal donations reached 24 states in 2025, and most meals stay right in the community that packs them. Partners get to choose exactly where their food goes.
Our rice pilaf travels even farther, to partners in:
- π΅π Philippines
- ππΉ Haiti
- ππ³ Honduras
- πΊπ¦ Ukraine
- + more worldwide
Healthy meals packed by year
From pandemic-era "Masked Heroes" events to three straight years topping 3 million meals.
Totals from Harvest Pack annual impact reports.
A meal is just the beginning
Behind every pouch is a person. The food your team packs reaches kids who show up to class ready to learn, seniors who get to stay in their own homes, and families who no longer have to choose between groceries and rent.
- Kids reached first, through school counselors and backpack programs
- Seniors supported with home meal deliveries
- Neighbors welcomed with dignity at local food shelves
- Most of every event stays right in the community that packed it
Good for tables. Good for the planet.
Most meal-packing ends at the table. Ours keeps giving. We turn each event's leftovers and waste into second lives, and send nothing usable to the landfill.
Plastics, reborn
Plastic wrap, bin liners, and gloves from our events are collected and remade into deck planking and sturdy park benches.
Nothing wasted
Surplus ingredients we can't pack are donated to SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary, where they nourish its rescued residents.
#GrowTheHarvest
Volunteers take home tomato seeds, and the ripe harvest is donated back to local food shelves for neighbors who need it most.
We bring everything. You bring the smiles.
Hosting a Harvest Pack is turnkey and low-stress. Our team arrives with the mobile meal-packing assembly line, the ingredients, and the fun. You don't even have to leave the building.
Pick your date & place
A conference room, gym, cafeteria, or fellowship hall works great. Schedule at least six weeks out and we'll handle every logistic from there.
Rally your teammates
Ages 3 to 103, everyone has a job on the line. Coworkers, classmates, congregations, and families all pack side by side.
Pack joy into every box
In about a day your team packs thousands of healthy meals, donated to local food shelves and partners you care about. Most meals stay right in your community.
The happiest day of the work week
It's so powerful that we can make an impact on a local, national, and international level within just a few hours. This is a very worthwhile event for a great cause, and fun for all ages!Paige KnorekDouglas Machine Employee Event
